At the very beginning of 2014 I decided to track my reading habits and share the best stuff here, on Baeldung.
2014 has been quite the year, covering each week with a review. I’ve been doing a lot more reading to make sure I cover and curate stuff that has value and is actually worth reading.

1. Spring and Java
A solid introduction to Jigsaw and the modularization work going into Java 9 – both context and attention to detail.

A very interesting change potentially slated for JDK 9.
>> JDT Improvements, Top Eclipse Mars Feature #5
Some cool improvements dropping with Eclipse Mars in a few days, including better Java 8 support.
>> Cache auto-configuration in Spring Boot 1.3
Caching support becomes easier with the upcoming Boot.
>> DevTools in Spring Boot 1.3
A nice set of additional to Boot, with the clear goal of making development easier across the board.

The State of the Union for HTTP/2.

A great writeup on Tor – how it works and why you would use it.

3. Musings
An interesting though exercise and a very useful writeup for two reasons. One – by writing something like this, you’ll likely bring a lot of clarity to your own goals and aspirations, and two – it’s a good link to hand over to recruiters.
